Phones are just for calling and sending SMS, and not spending every second you have on updating your 'social' statuses, or chatting non-stop.

IMO, no, I wouldn't spend €640,- on that... save the cash for something else.
You're free to decide whatever you want of course.

Your description of phones is a little too archaic, to be honest. Phones have come a LONG way since calling and SMS. The truth is, they are for updating your social statuses or chatting. And much much more. I'm sure this is obvious for anyone not living under a rock the passed 8+ years, but you can manage entire businesses on those things, communicate with others on the other side of the planet -- faster than the speed of light-- really fucking fast, and play games that visually baffle anyone who's been around longer than 15 or so years. Depending on your needs, that €640 can be one helluva investment.

EDIT: Minor change

I'm going to let this pass since I know you didn't mean that literally.

In Japan , we have new phone series lineup every 4 months
The NTT Docomo F-12C was release in May 2011 for 700$
I waited 6 months later and bought it for 250$ !!! (not 2nd hand ofc)

€640 is too expensive , you should wait a few month until the price drops

Yeah, i know. I'll wait ^.^

No, thanks
Samsung is a korean brand but their factory is placed in china (Made in China) same as Sony or Toshiba "world version" or iphone
IMO, i could choose either "Made in Japan" or "Made in Germany"
Fujitsu , Nec , Sharp , Mitsubishi are top-notch in quality

Actually most Samsung products (100% sure on their phones) are made in Korea. Their build quality (Actual, not perceived) is top notch. This phone has survived hell.

I'll be passing on the S3 myself, and will jump from my S2 with the S4.

I'm hoping for a non-pentile 720p on the S4.... other than that the S3 is pretty awesome looking.
Iphone is manufactured in china too (via Foxconn company) but Apple never write "Made in china" or "Manufactured in china" on their products
Same as Samsung ....
I believe only the Korean version or the Japanese version of Galaxy S3 (Docomo SC-06D) are made in Korea
I worked for a phone shop last summer . So i had a chance to use Galaxy S (Verizon version) , Droid 2 ,Dell Steak , Sky Pantech (korea) , iphone 3/3gs/4 ...But i just buy the Jap phone instead of getting one of those phone
Some of samsungs products, are infact manufactured or made from components provided by china.

There is a very big difference between not writing where something is made on the device, and writing a different country on the device.

They may be built with Chinese components, yes --- but the device is still assembled in Korea.

On my iPod touch 2G:

Quote:Designed by Apple in California Assembled in China

And I'm fairly sure their earphones say made in china on them, but I'd take a while to find them as I have so many fakes, and have broken/lost all by genuine ones, so naturally haven't bothered to remember their location.
