If dolphin is safe, then why is it that right after I download it, my PC has issues even connecting to the internet saying I have a DNS error. My wifi still works on every other device in the house and I've tried using other wifi on my computer but despite all that I cannot connect. And as this problem came up two days ago now my PC can't even shut off without me forcing it off.
Because of one of the following:
- Your machine was already broken, and you only noticed it (or it only started showing symptoms) right after putting Dolphin on it.
- You didn't get Dolphin from us, and whoever packaged it snuck some malware in, too. To avoid this in the future, make sure you only get builds from dolphin-emu.org.
- You aren't the kind of person who always double checks you're doing what you're supposed to (as evidenced by you breaking this forum's rules on necroposting - reviving super old threads) so did something wrong at some point.
If you make a new thread for your issue, we'll have a good go at resolving it, or, at the very least, convince you that it wasn't Dolphin's fault.
Or Dolphin's usage of libusb is messing up the connection to a USB Wi-Fi card somehow. It's rare, but it has happened before. (Though it should be after starting Dolphin, not after downloading it...)
