Lulz, the sad part of this is that it shows they think they did an awesome presentation :/
Well, they still were better than everyone else, I guess.

All evidence points to yet another sucky star wars "cinematic" hack and slash.

How come? It is a shooter... :S
I never liked star wars games as I should (tough the first Force Unleashed was pretty acceptable and I really enjoyed it because of the at the time revolutionary physics and AI system) because light saber combats never felt like the movies, but a third person shooter wouldn't suffer from this problem, while still having the potential to deliver a great star wars universe experience, I think, so I'm looking forward to this

Also, even if it turns out to be that I'll probably like it, I'm desperately sick of first person shooters, I need variety in my games, I keep remembering the times of the N64 and PS2, when devs cared about genres other than FPSs.
:/

Oh god that's even worse.
Lucasarts has so many great ideas to choose from. They don't even have to get creative they could just make a sequel to one of the popular franchises and it would be nearly guaranteed to succeed. SWG2, BF3 (battlefront 3), jedi knight 3, etc. But they want to make cross platform casual shit instead....figures.

What?! :S
Now now NV, you're sounding weird! you seem like the kind of user who usually says companies (mistakenly) creates too much sequels and end up destroying good franchises just because they're guaranteed to earn money with it. And now you say that's how they should work?
Just in case you ask, you said this a while ago, about a franchise I can't remember.
EDIT: Oh yeah, Men in Black, about MIB III

Movies and video games are two very different mediums. It is much easier to make a good video game sequel than a good movie sequel. If you can't come up with any good new game franchises ideas and everyone wants you to make a sequel to x game then I say do it. For the love of god battlefront III is one of the most requested game sequels of all time, I see big petitions popping up for it every year.
