Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Straight forward question I think, for the devs.

Im trying to play Resident Evil 2 alongside a friend who is playing it on the console (Wii)
What I've noticed though, is that loading (door) screens, are just slightly faster in Dolphin, than on the Wii. Maybe by half a second.

Is there any way to make Dolphin emulate the loading times of the Wii? or is this an unrealistic request?

Right click game>properties>make "speed up disc transfer rate" blank

That's normal. The Wii reads it off a disc, which is a number of times slower than your harddrive.

and you like it being slower? i wish there was a mod to eliminate loading screen when you load the game from ssd or ramdisk
