Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

I just ran Dolphin emu for the first time and I am wondering if direct3d Dx10 is available as graphics plugin? I only saw Direct3D Dx9.

The Direct3D plugin pretty much doesn't work anymore; nearly all work has gone into the OpenGL plugin.

There doesn't seem to be any reason to make a Direct3D 10 plugin if we don't even have a working Direct3D 9 plugin.

ah ok, just thought asking since the ps2 emulator rans faster on d3d dx10 instead of opengl..

that doesn't say anything, it only matters how its coded.
the opengl plugin is much older than the latest d3d plugins and nobody works further on it.
that doesn't mean that opengl is worse than Direct3D

true that, do you think dolphin will one day be as good as pscx2? Basically every major game works 99% on the ps2 emu.

it already is.
the only difference is that there are much more PS2 games than GC.

eh no, many GC games dont even have sound

ever since GSDX plugin and directx10 functionality compability has increased tremendously.

you must be an idiot if you think the PS2 emulator isnt better at this stage. The best ps2 games run pretty flawlessy. FFX, FFX-2 and FFXII are all playable with full sound and all.

Meanwhile Wind Waker doesnt even have sound.

Stop Criticizing.
There is no Direct3D 10 Plugin (that's just reality)
Ps2 emu is ok. Dont get your panties in a knot
And lastly.. just chill.
Deal with Opengl for now.
