Tested Goldeneye 007 for Wii.

gx-optimization was NOTABLY slower than Dolphin 3.0 - 638.

I took twice as long to go through the first mission's cinematic with the gx-optimization.

I'm not an idiot. I used my own builds of both the latest master (before it was merged) and the gx_optimizations branch, didn't change any settings (also checked if they really were the same) and ran a number of benchmarks using FRAPS. I had nothing running in the background.

Or is that a philosophical question? Of course I can't be "sure"^^

Also why should I post screenshots? Except maybe of the Excel table with the results.

I as well as others would like to see the settings you used as well as seeing the fps/vps/speed/revision number that is displayed when running Dolphin in a window with each build you used. You're the only person to use these builds and say that there was any speedup what-so-ever, so lets see the speedup shots and all the info.

Ah, you wanted more information. It sounded like you just wanted to question my methods, coming right up (gimme a few minutes to make the screenshots and find all the files again^^)

Without screenshots you have no proof. We can't just take your word for it if you're the only one to produce these results.

That's extremely unlikely. Check your settings and your testing procedure.
There you go, i hope I didn't forget anything:

[I just noticed that in the screenshot the master build shows a higher speed, but that's just coincidence^^]

I just didn't know what he wanted from me^^
Also I might just as well forge the screenshots if I was out to fool you Wink

You were supposed to show the game level in which you had the speedup at the same spot in the game and the fps uncapped with both?
Why should I do that, the fps fluctuate anyway, and you've got the results as a table, I'm off now, doing things more worthy of my time.

To show the tangible in-game speed difference?

(05-27-2012, 07:34 AM)dEnigma Wrote: [ -> ]the fps fluctuate anyway,

How can you tell if you gained any fps during the game if the fps is fluctuating?

Okay then, see ya.
