The sound doesnt work at all and ive tried changing almost everything (in reason) in the config settings but it still sounds like death....has anyone else had this prob? Has anyone fixed it?

You have no computer specs, no settings that you have tried, and it doesn't look like you've searched around for the answer before posting. The Dolphin Wiki entry for this game makes it pretty clear that LLE audio should clear this up.
