Emulating can not be compared to PC gaming.
Emulating is far more demanding on the CPU than those games.

Try using Dolphin 3.0, which might, or might not give you a little speedup.
Set the IR to x3, any higher will slow you down.

What are your temperatures when you're playing Twilight Princess?
If your CPU overheats, it will throttle back to a lower clock.
