Hopefully this isn't too stupid a question,

I'm saving the game in game using the statues, when I reboot Dolphin (3.0-600) there aren't any save files..?
Is there any particular thing I need to be doing..?

Thanks.
Could you test the 7719 build and see if the same thing happens.
I have completed the game two times on that specific build and saving have never been a problem.

Could it be something I've not set up properly (I'm pretty new to Dolphin) as I've just booted up Xenoblade Chronicles & there is no save data with that either..?
Could be of the specific build you're using.
Usually I just start a game and it creates the save file just fine just like it once did with Skyward Sword on 7719.

You shouldn't have to configure anything in order for the save file to be created.

That's what I thought, but presumed it was an error on my part.. I most definitely did save both games numerous times.
Would you advise to just scrap this build then & if so replace it with which..?

Thanks.
Like I said the build I have been using is 7719 which you can find in the archive section:

He's obviously doing something wrong, but that doesn't mean he should use a build that is that old. Telling him to use the newest build on that list would be a better option.
Yeah well I only recommend things I have been using A LOT and have had good experience with.
I'm not interested in newer builds, why do you think I'm still using Dolphin 3.0 and 7719? Because they're working really really good and haven't given me any problems.

Recommending newer builds might not always be a better option, please don't say that.
Damn...everything I do these days is wrong.

You're implying that the only way he'll be able to save properly is to use a build that is over 8 months old. That's ridiculous and is bad advice. Those old builds are unsupported, you know better than that. People read the forums and listen to what people say, we don't need hundreds of users coming here complaining about issues that r7719 has that are already fixed. The latest official build or the latest Git build is a good recommendation. We need not have a conversation about this anymore, lets try to solve the original posters issue.

I've just tried this rev & saving now works perfectly, I'm getting far better performance at 3x resolution/16x AF too.. double win
Wish I'd asked before I'd lost all those hours on Xenoblade though.. c'est la vie!

Many thanks.
