So i was thinking about buying this MSI laptop packing the following specs

Intel Core i3 2330M 2,2GHz
4GB 1333mhz ram (thinking about upgrading to 8gb) if i get it.
GeForce GT540M
1366x768 (WXGA Wide) 15.6'' screen
windows 7 home premium.

mind leaving me suggestions.

Also on building a pc, i'd love to but it's really expensive. If id want something with an core i5 2500k or something it'd cost me like 700-900 euros whilst this laptop will cost me a mere 500euros, i know the specs are far better but still.
The CPU is weak. Don't expect playing demanding games. Which games do you plan to play?

thinking about super mario galaxy, zelda twilight princess and all those great wii titles... if not i can go for a desktop... how well does a pentium g630 perform in dolphin? with a 6870/ 560 ti video card?
Better choice. But no way to play games like SMG 1&2 and Zelda TP at decent speed

Pentium G630 won't cut it and 6870/ 560 ti are overkill

AMD 6670 (75$) should be fine for 3x Internal Res (1080p) , 16x Anisotropic Filtering
Save more buck for the CPU and motherboard instead : Z68 mobo + G860 or i3 2120

Mario Galaxy need LLE back end to fix the BGM audio and Grand Star crashes (Check Dolphin Wiki for more detail ) . LLE required i5 2500k @ 4.4Ghz to run full speed

G860 or i3 2120 should be enough for most games

Thanks a lot for that very very helpful reaction , i'll now consider this in my pc build and i might come at a much lower pricepoint, Smile

Also if i plan on saving a little bit more how well does a 3570k overclock/ perform compared to the 2500k on 4.4ghz, will i get the same benefits. (at the moment the difference between the 2500k and the 3570k is like 10euros or so)

i5 3570k 4.1ghz should be equal to i5 2500k @ 4.4Ghz

Thanks a lot for your help. About the 6670 gpu, will it run games at 1080p on my 1080p monitor (games like battlefield 3 or assassins creed or so).

Edit : Make sure you buy the GDDR5 version , not GDDR3
