I've been wanting a sound card anyway, would that help or is a usb mic my only hope?
Since you won't tell us what mic it is I have no clue.

That's because I didn't know till just now it is a h149
*searches for logitech h149*
*laughs*

Looks like that headset model is so old that it's not listed anywhere on the logitech website.

If you want cheap: I would advise you get yourself a decent usb headset.

If you want good: High quality standalone mic (usb, 3.5mm, or 6.5mm) + high quality headphones (3.5mm or 6.5mm) + high quality stereo audio card
Meh, it works fine on another computer, but I guess I'll get a new one :p, I'll probably get a new sound card too :3

Edit: How do this:

Terrible. What is your budget?

Really? I can spend about $60 I guess (parents will hardly let me spend that much)

You won't be able to get a good set of headphones for that let alone speakers and an audio card. For that amount of money get a cheap $60 usb headset (unless there is a particular reason that you need 3.5mm) and forget the audio card.
