As some of you know I just built a computer some of you may also know that I do LP's on youtube.
Well now I has a problem, you see when I use the mic on my computer it is SUPER quiet, even with the volume 100% and boost +30 dB. I've got the the latest realtek drivers and tried have tried both AC'97 and HD, I've tried using the plug in the front and the back, I REALLY need to get it to work, any help is appreciated Wink
Simple fix, when you are using your microphone, Windows is set up by default to reduce the volume of other sounds by 80%.
You can turn it off by right-clicking your volume icon and clicking on Recording Devices.

Now click the last tab, which should be called something like Communication.
In that tab, check the last option, Do not take any action.

It's is some logitech (can't remember which, but it was only $20), but I don't think that is the problem because it works fine on my other computers.
*posts what is likely a hardware or driver issue*
*can't tell us what hardware it is*
*doesn't list the other supporting hardware (audio chipset in this case)*

Well, it looks like my work here is done.

Sorry, I misinterpret your question. Have you tried to disable the microphone enhancements?
