Hello all,
I have been trolling around looking for good information to help my friend setup Dolphin on his mac laptop. It's about a year old [2.3GHZ i5, 4GB 1333, intel hd graphic 3000 384mb], and all he wants to do is play Brawl with two GC controllers.

-Controllers?
I was looking at a lot of threads for GC controllers (adapters), and this "GC Controller Adapter for PC[Mayflash]" might be the best for his need of 2 controllers. But will it work on dolphin? On a Mac? Does it require drivers or is the plug and play supported on Mac as well? I heard Blissbox is good and some other usb adapters, but I am worried about the compatibility of Mac with these devices

I heard the Xbox 360 works wonderfully, but not a Macs? Does it require drivers? Though, going with a GC is most preferred.

Build?
I have heard many many people having issues with the new build? Can anyone drop me some insight on which build will be stable for Brawl? Seriously, that's the only game he wants to play.

Compiling? I do not know if this is an option, because I am pretty sure he is on Snow Leopard and it's not my laptop to tweak around with.

Settings?
Is there any guides for Mac users for Brawl in mind?

Thanks everyone for reading, and for any future advice!

That, unfortunately, doesn't seem to be compatible with a Mac.
Taken from the site:

Yes, you can appearantly use the 360 controller on your Mac. But you do need some special drivers to make it work.
Here is a guide that can help you set it up.
It might be outdated, so I suggest you to Google for it if it is.

Dolphin 3.0, the official stable release, which you can find on the main website should fit your needs.

There arn't any special settings required for Brawl.
You might want to switch to LLE if you cant stand the audio crackles, etc, that sometimes happens with HLE.

We'll need your specs first to see if you can play with eyecandy (720p/1080p) or even if your CPU can handle the game fullspeed.
If you want newer Dolphin revisions, check out WinterMute's Dolphin builds.

Garteal, I saw that too, though I included a link to statements of people who were able to get his adapters to work with Mac. So I am hopeful for this GC adapter! Maybe someone can comment on his work and Mac.

DefenderX, I have read a couple of your posts from other threads. Thanks for the build image. Would these custom builds be preferred compared to the stable version of 3.0 for Mac?

If anyone can comment on GC adapters for Mac, that would be great!

Well, i don't know. Just try it. Maybe this newer dirty revisions are a little bit slower, but they should be more accurate as the official 3.0 release for Mac.
Can anyone comment on these on Mac with/without driver support? [I would really like to get one without drivers and support two players.]

Hey everyone,
I ended up going with 2x "3 in 1 Controller" by Mayflash, but was unable to get both of them working. The second adapter wouldn't map keys correctly, but the second adapter was responsive in a way. My setup was Mac laptop with 2x "3 in 1 Controller" with two GC controllers plugged into each adapter. 1x GC controller works at a time, but 2x GC controllers doesn't.
