Given the expression: 2x+7 = 819
What is the value of x?
I'm actually kinda dissapointed that I can't figure it out, and Google is not my friend on this one.
Anyone with a couple of more braincells then I have left that know the answer?

Well if you have to know it's the BSNES boards I'm trying to register to. I want to start participate in their discussions regarding the emulator.
Math is not my strong side, but for the love of god just let me in already.

2x+7 = 819 | -7
2x = 812 | :2
x = 406
easy, huh?
This is the "equivalent transformation". (in german: Äquivalenzumformung). Yeah, i'm a little bit too late, i know.
