Hi guys, a new guy here.

i have a problem with the emulator, i'm trying to run fire emblem path of radiance in the emulator and i can't get further to 30FPS in the game.

i'm pretty sure that my pc is not the problem (at least the technical specs) i have an ASUS g53sx-xa1 laptop which has intel i7 2nd generation processor, 8GB of RAM and a GT560M nVidia video card.

i have found this thread but it looks like the guy is not quite polite asking for help xD http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=22084&highlight=g53sx.

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks for your time Smile

Read the forum announcements about making new threads.

Quote:This announcement is to inform everyone about the no doubt large amount of threads that will be closed and warnings that will be handed out from now on. Currently, we have been closing threads that did not follow the rules about creating a proper thread, like not providing PC specs, game name, settings and all of the information that is needed in a thread from a person asking for help.

You need to provide specific hardware details (for example, my signature) and your Dolphin settings. Click the Config button in Dolphin and look at the General Tab. Click the Graphics buttons and look at the General, Enhancements, and Hacks tabs. We need this info, both hardware specs and settings, to help you.

You could try setting your Framelimit option to 60 FPS rather than something like Auto and see if that works. Not sure, but I think Dolphin 3.0 still has audio throttling in the DSP section. Enabling this might help as well.
OK, sorry about that, i'm at work right now so i can't post the dolphin setting, but i'll post all the technical specs from my laptop

CPU: intel core i7 @ 2.0GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 2GB GDDR5 VRAM
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Dolphin: 3.0-601

i'll try setting the framelimit when i get home and i'll post some screenshots of the configuration.

Thanks Smile
expanding on Shonumi's comment, I believe fire emblem natively runs at 30fps, any faster than that and gameplay will be faster than on the wii.
see this post for more info

Set Framelimit to Auto and uncheck V-Sync. Besides, uncheck "Disable Fog" and check "Disable Per-Pixel Depth" and "Fast Mipmaps". And you could try the "OpenMP Texture Decoder"
press "Tab" instant speed boost since gb emulator Big Grin
