Isn't the listed wattage the max output, not the input which it then wastes some of?

But yeah, get a decent branded PSU, or at least one with many good reviews, as if it goes very wrong it can fry your whole machine.
No. In reality they can pretty much put whatever they damn please on the box since there are several different wattage measurements that they can use. But normally they measure maximum input at full load.

1. Where are your Dolphin settings? Can you post them?
2. Can you post the name of your i3 CPU + Clock speed?

Dolphin does mostly rely on the CPU unlike standard PC games which demand more GPU-power than CPU, the GPU is only good for the X times IR (http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=20712). So you really shouldn't skimp on the CPU if you're build/upgrade is based on Wii emulation to be honest with you.

Take a look at my guide to see the (minimum) requirements for nearly full speed emulation as well as to find some tips on choosing your upgrade. http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=23374.

As for the games you want to run you should take a look at the Dolphin Wiki(http://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Main_Page) or find the forum of your specific game.

so you saing basicly i should upgrade my cpu to at least i5 for dolphin to work properly...
my i3 is not enough?

my i3 is not enough?

Well that depends on the games you're going to play, if you want almost full speed on the most demanding games (SMG2, F-Zero etc.) as of this time you'll at least need an overclocked Core i5 2500K. Though most games should run fine on your processor and the more demanding ones should be playable at 30-45fps, that is if you have a lot of patience Big Grin.
As i mentioned earlier it could be that this game isn't well supported by the version of dolphin that your using and your CPU is just fine.
