Not even a year after the release of Super Mario 3D Land they're gonna release a new Mario title just like that.
Well I ain't the one to complain but I'm kinda skeptic to this one since it will be released so early.
Anyway here's the video:

Will there be a Wii version? Or will we have to wait for the WiiU?
I doubt, that Nintendo will develop this game for the Wii... The Wii is somehow dead
Anyway, thanks for the video Gabriel Belmont.

Well I'm not sure, from what I have heard this is going to be a direct sequel to 2006's New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS and so far it's only slated for the 3DS.
From the looks of it the Leaf is going to return in it's former Super Mario Bros. 3 glory.
And my hunch tells me we'll see Mr.Grass, Mr.Desert, Mr.Snow, Mr.Jungle, Mr.Beach, Mr.Sky, Mr.Mountain, and Mr.Lava again.
My only wish would have been that they could have made a remake of Super Mario Land 2 instead since that game had some wacky items and locations and for once it wasn't Bowser that was the bad guy.

Some games were released while the Wii was already dead : Zelda SS, Mario Party 9...
Also this game reminds me of Super Mario Bros. 2 - The Lost levels somehow.
I got a feeling that the levels is gonna be harder then in the first game.
Yes this game looks like the real Super Mario Bros 2. The game that was known as The Lost Levels out of Japan as you perfectly said it
I really hope this to be true because Super Mario 3D Land was a joke in the difficulty department.
We need a harder Super Mario Bros. game or else I'll have to play The Lost levels forever on All-Stars.

They're probably reusing the engine of NSMB with 3DS adjustments ofcourse, and perhaps some new features.
The only thing they have to do besides that, is to create new levels, etc.

Mario games were never intended to be difficult in the first place. There are some hacks for NSBM like The Next Levels that definitely made the game a lot harder.
If you want difficulty, you should look elsewhere.
