Nope , not for me.
Sure , the raw power and upgradability from a gaming-desktop is unbeatable , but at what cost ?
Back in the days (The Doom 3 and Halflife 2 area (2004) , THIS was my life :

It costed me my social life Sad
I was only working-out , gaming,working,eating, a little s*x with my GF and then more gaming.
No time for my real-life friends or family , only for my on-line friends for gaming.

NOW , with a nice laptop i can do gaming while still sitting in the living-room with my girlfriend , friends or family.
Even on vacation with friends i"ll take my laptop with me.
To me portabillity is KING.

What's the difference in temps with the additional fan compared to just the stock fan when playing games with Dolphin?
The temp should stay at 60C - Dolphin(Both CPU & GPU are at 100% , sometime temp hit 64C) and 55C - PC games(GPU full load)
If I didn't turn the fan on , I would get 70-80C after 10 mins
That's a nice difference. I'd like to cool mine down a bit too but I don't want to rip the bottom apart like that. It'd be nice if they made custom deeper plastic bottom cases so that laptop modders could have room to add cooling mods inside the case. Making the bottom part of the case even 1 more inch thicker would be great. I could add another fan and some copper heatsinks around the case.
@SS I dig some info about your AMD 6650M . According to notebookcheck,net , 6650M power consumption is similar to 5650M (15-19W)
Nvidia GT 540M power consumption (35W) look like sh*t compared to yours . No wonder it run so hot while playing PC games :/ (Shogun 2 for example)
Before I bought this laptop , I had aimed for i5 460M + 5650M ...
This thing gets very hot with PC games too. 4 cores and running in crossfire (HD6520G+HD6650M=HD6720G2) produces a lot of heat. Sometimes I have to unplug the laptop from the wall so that I get out of the high performance profile and let it cool down a bit while playing. I really need another fan inside this thing. :/
