It's not whimsical to buy a laptop to satisfy all your needs, and you don't have to be rich, you just need to be an adult and have a job.
Nope, but it's whimsical to buy a £2000 too-big-to-be-portable device, when a £1000 one will do, and can be more easily upgraded etc..

Please stop talking as if your opinion is a fact for everyone else. It's foolish.
I guess you guys need to be reminded that the point of this thread was "gaming laptops can perform well with games just as desktops can". I've always spoken to what I wanted and use for myself, not for you or anyone else. Also, careful who you burn, the harm you cause me be your own.
Hang on, damn BB codes have made my colon and bracket a smiley.
Also one of our main points is that you may find a laptop to match a desktop, but for that amount of money, you could get a desktop which could beat it.

Actually if you look back and read the original posts made before you moved the thread (and the title of the thread, the title of the poll, and the poll options) you'll see that this was never what this thread was about. You just decided to change the subject to this at some point because it's an easier argument to make. I went along with it because I like debating people and I thought that this would make the thread more active.
If you want a hint as to what the original topic was read the first 9 words of the poll title.

Not a single person has admitted to that since the start of this thread. Thanks.

Money was never a factor, if it was possible or not was the only criteria.

This thread has always been about that.

The poll may have been worded badly, but the content of the thread is generally about being able to replace a desktop with a high-end laptop for gaming, music, movies and web, just as it always has been.
I like how the discussion has turned from discussing the topic, to discussing what we actually were discussing.
