Well... I followed your guide and it says it can't find "c1.exe" when trying to compile in 64bit. Btw I am on Windows 7 x64. Also the executable, library and include directory lists where empty for x64. After copying them from the win32 lists everything worked except for libraries (because those where paths to x86 libraries and they cannot be linked with x64 code). Can somebody, please, help me with those paths?

EDIT: Nevermind... Adding /amd64 to some paths solved it. Also, thanks for the guide!

Never tried Windows 7, or its SDK, steps should be the same if not similar though.
Also, to everyone, don't confuse the AMD64 compiler library with the IA64 one (Itanium), the filenames are way too similar, I almost made that mistake.

I'm following the guide and downloading the set up files. I've never compiled in a windows environment.

I followed the tutorial but when I try to build for x64 it gives me an error for every file saying something about cl.exe or cmd.exe. Any ideas?

The WHOLE error message please. It can be very difficult at times to deduce the problem when the info given is "oh, it mentioned something about this and something about that or other."

I'm gonna GUESS though that you didn't install some part of the requisites properly.

Well, I have everything installed, .net3.5 framework, windows sdk and everything else to compile... I checked through some things and it turns out I have no directories set for anything under x64 compilation... Any ideas why this would happen? And what directories should I specify?

I just updated the main post, too lazy to write, I put 4 screencaps into a png.

I would've done that myself 'cept I was too lazy too boot into Win7 and actually do it.

ok so Im getting this in my logs every time I try to build this for 64bit (I have included all of the directories)

Compiling...
Project : error PRJ0002 : Error result -1073741515 returned from 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\bin\x86_amd64\cl.exe'.

it does that for everything... any ideas?

Edit:
ok so I changed the directory from x86_amd64 to just amd64... both exist and both have cl.exe and what not.. but this one is compiling at least... i'll see if I get any errors this way... With x86_amd64 everything failed instantly so the fact that its even compiling now is a good thing
