i have monster hunter tri on dolphin but i only get 30 fps on the menu and 14fps ingame and my specs are amd a6 3400m 2.4GHz overclocked 2.8GHz with and amd or ati 6250g graphics...also when i press begin the screen turns black and the fps go to 0
There is no way you're consistently running at 2.8GHz without that thing catching on fire. Even so, that CPU is too weak for this game. That CPU runs at 1.4GHz and at times 2.3GHz with one core on turbo when possible.

but even so.. is it good enough to achieve at least 20fps ingame with 2.4 to 2.8

I can't imagine that thing lasting very long at 2.8GHz, those laptop cooler fans are pretty worthless and don't do much. If you're truly running at 2.8GHz, you must be at 90-95c after about 10 minutes of playing a game. If you are, you're a brave guy. If I can give you some advice, stop overclocking that high before you do not have a laptop to use anymore.
Holy Shit, He's right.

Either buy a desktop or Sandy Bridge Laptop,
or just plain QUIT.

If you don't quit, you just might have to buy a new one.Wink

The last link there was for an insipron 620 s. There isn't much room in the case on the non-slimline version, so don't go for the slim one. Also the motherboard and processors it can ship with won't overclock so bear that in mind. Also the WD hard drive sounds like a midget stuck in a metal box firing a minigun, so go for the non WD drive.
