It has to be added through an injector.
(1) in case you say that must be activated in the Nvidia Control Panel is it?
(2) what would be the correct way to use it, should I disable anti-aliasing at the Dolphin and just use the Nvidia Control Panel settings?
(3) Works with DirectX 9 and 11 or just OpenGL ?
Note forgive my bad English, I'm from Brazil, and thanks for the Info!
Hmm. I've been reading up on FXAA. It
sounds nice. I guess I have a reason to finally update my old nvidia drivers lol. Just use the nvidia control panel to force it on?
Also, did nvidia finally fix that problem with the latest drivers? For quite a while Dolphin was bugged with the newest official drivers.

There are several ways to apply post-processing AA to dolphin.
1. FXAA injectors work with the d3d9, openGL, and d3d11 backends but only with 32 bit dolphin builds. They only work with 32 bit application because of the injector hook that they need to use to work. Many custom versions exist, including SMAA (which i don't like because it sharpens stuff too much in my opinion). This will work with both Nvidia and AMD graphics cards.
2. Nvidia has built in FXAA support in its drivers for geforce 8 - 500 series cards. This can be turned on by using a 3rd party control panel such as nvidia inspector. This will work with both 32 bit and 64 bit dolphin builds but will only work with the openGL backend.
3. Nvidia supports FXAA on all backends with 32 bit and 64 bit applications on 600 series cards. If you have a 600 series card you can enable FXAA in nvcp (nvidia control panel). They also stated that they would be updating the drivers for 400 and 500 series cards in the future to support this as well, I'm not sure if they have yet but I think so.
4. HD5000/HD6000 series cards from amd support MLAA 1.0. This works with d3d9/openGL/d3d11 on 32 bit and 64 bit builds but isn't anywhere near as good.
5. HD7000 series cards from amd support MLAA 2.0. Which is actually surprisingly good. It works with d3d9/openGL/d3d11 on 32 bit and 64 bit builds.
6. Finally, there is the idea of adding FXAA source code into dolphins source code as a post-processing shader. This would enable pretty much anybody to take advantage of FXAA in dolphin. By the way the quality scales with IR, so it's really only useful if you have a good GPU and you're able to use a high IR. This would be fairly easy to do since FXAA source code is highly configurable and easily integrates with any application that uses HLSL and/or GLSL. The GLSL implementations that are publicly available on the web tend to be inferior. This might be a problem for dolphins openGL backend since if I recall dolphin's openGL backend uses CGSL. However it should be easy to integrate into the d3d9 and d3d11 backends in the master build, but nobody wants to do it.
7. Also we have TXAA, which just came out but will require modifying the source code to implement it.

?????
I've never heard of this or seen any dolphin users report problems with recent nvidia drivers.
Quote:It's not much, but I have dialup and downloading a new update takes an eternity, so it didn't exactly take much for me to steer clear. Perhaps it was just laptop drivers?
Yes. It looks like it's a problem with optimus.

You're both over a decade late.
Quote:Yes. It looks like it's a problem with optimus.
Alright, thanks. Still, with FXAA not being even an option without a 3rd party program, meh, still don't have a reason to update.

They are FINALLY stringing up some fiber in the area, so it won't be much longer for me.
You still skipped broadband. In fact, why don't you have non-fibre broadband? If you can afford fibre broadband, you should be able to afford default broadband.
I did some tests here on my PC of the signature.
tested Dolphin 3.0-751 64 bit, using only the most recent Nvidia driver,
It was a simple test only with FXAA enabled and disabled by the Nvidia Control Panel,. To see the results.
Note third-party software not used only the official driver Nvidia so it seems to me that is already functional in DX11, DX9 and OpenGL
forgiveness for my bad English.

What was your IR and screen resolution set to?
