I've been trying to play Punch Out, and all I get are black screens after attempting to run the game. It doesn't even get as far as displaying the yellow text stating the game has been opened. I've tried fudging with the settings a little bit, but I don't know the backend of this program well enough to do too much there. I've attempted running it in DX9, 11, OpenGL, and Software Render. Always the same issue--open Dolphin, double click on game, pop-up window w/ a black screen and nothing else. No sound plays, the game never crashes....it just sits there eternally.

My computer is by far above and beyond the requirements for Dolphin:

8GB DDR3 RAM
2GB Nvidia Geforce GT 540M gfx
Intel i7 quad core processor
etc etc

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: On the control bar at the top of the game's window, black screened and all, it has stats. It tells me that the FPS is 0, VPS is 100, and speed is 100%. Does the FPS being 0 mean anything?
Which Dolphin revision do you use? Can you post your settings (screenshot)?

Currently using 3.0-587. Which settings do you want? Graphics? Config? Game specific? All of the above?
all the Dolphin settings Wink

btw: Have you tried to dump your game again? Maybe your ISO is broken.
How would one go about dumping the game in Dolphin? Working on the screenshots atm.
If you've got a Wii with Homebrew Channel: Dump your original disc with CleanRip/SuperDump

If you haven't got a Wii: Dump your game on the PC with Rawdump (special LG drive needed)

If I have an LG drive, then I'm unaware of it. No idea how to dump it, and no clue how to go about obtaining or using the software required. I'm more of a hardware guy, lol.
Okay, you can check "OpenMP Texture Decoder" and "Lock Threads to Cores" but this won't fix your problem. I thought, you messed up with some settings but i'm wrong Wink your settings are okay.

Well, try the official Dolphin 3.0 release and if the problem is still present, than the problem is your ISO. -> Dump the game again (how? i said that above)
Rather than downloading a 3rd different version of Dolphin in 2 days...I'm just going to assume it's the ISO, which is a damn shame. Thanks for your help, dude.
If you cant dump how did you get the iso in the first place?
