I don't know if this has already been posted or not but I didn't see it yesterday in my long search so I'm posting it to save someone the trouble of posting here for support, or anywhere for that matter.
On the 'Support' page it says you don't need to have the sensor bar to play games, this is apparently not true with games like Legend of Zelda; Skyward Sword, and other games that require you use the cursor during start up (I.E "Move the Cursor to the Middle of the Screen to Calibrate").
However with this trick you will not need a wireless sensor or two candles as long as you have a Wii, with a plug in sensor bar.
1. Make sure your Dolphin is set up the way you would like with all the settings you prefer to run it with. I used this video because the one on the front page is outdated. I tested this with a real Wiimote with Motion+ (but it may work with a Hybrid) with the remote option set to 'Real Wiimote'
2. Sync up your Wiimote with your PC ( there are already pages with info about this, but here), and make sure your PC registers that it's hooked up. If you have Dolphin open and click the 'Wiimote' settings button it should say you have one real Wiimote synced, and the remote should also vibrate.
3. Now you plug in your Wii and also the plug-in sensor, and turn it on. If you have your Wii's video and audio cords plugged into a TV you can see when the screen instructing you to secure your wrist strap has passed. If not, just turn your Wii on with the sensor and wait three minutes for good measure.
4. Position your sensor bar below or above your laptop/computer, make sure the Dolphin settings are set to whichever you choose, and you should be good.
I just tried this trick this morning and it worked perfectly. I haven't played the game with it yet but I shouldn't have any problems related to the sensor bar. If this isn't already posted somewhere maybe an Admin can sticky it or compile it with a list of other important tips.
