ICC's CPU dispatcher still does the GenuineIntel check so an unpatched binary will always take the slowest code path on AMD CPUs (default is SSE2).
Tried MinGw once but I don't think any of the devs care to get Cmake building working on Windows.
Choppy/crackling audio still exsists in Resident Evil 2 (probably 3 aswell)
The Resident Evil series have all audio issues. This problems is not caused by my builds

Search the forums, if you want to find out more about the sound problems with RE.
im well aware of the issues with Resident Evil 2 and 3, but the issues I am refering to, are not related to the commonly addressed issues on the forums. The choppy/crackling sound is very recent in the latest builds, and also affects the FVM cutscenes. The commonly addressed audio issues, that have been around for ages, only affect the gameplay.

Wasn't there a RE2 for the PC? Pretty sure that's how I first played that game. In this day in age you can probably get the Playstation version and use a texture pack to enhance the crap out of it.

Right, but that has nothing to do with this specific compiler. The issue exists in all recent builds no matter who compiled them.
Lectrodes builds don't have this issue.
Well, then use his builds for Resident Evil, and my builds for the rest
good compromise

Thanks, for doing these DefenderX. I'll test when I get home.
