Hi, so my problem is that I have two video cards in this laptop: 1 integrated and 1 dedicated ATI.
Integrated: Intel hd
Dedicated: AMD Radeon HD 6490Q
*Drivers are up to date
Dolphin only reads the Intel one, and I'd like to use the AMD one because obviously, it's better.
*KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A LAPTOP, therefore the AMD card is a "discrete" graphics card that only activates whenever extra graphics power is needed
This is what happens with Dolphin:

And this also happens with other apps:

This is really frustrating lol, help pl0x?<3
Is there an option like "Start with High-End GPU" or something like that when you right-click on Dolphin?

and have you looked into the Catalyst Center? There have to be an option for enabling/disabling the AMD GPU for certain programs (as far as i know).

And yeah, I enabled Dolphin on Cataclyst thing, but still, it only shows INTEL
Well, so pls look into the AMD Catalyst Center. There have to be an option named "AMD Dynamic Switchable Graphics". for Dolphin you have to choose the "High Performance" mode. (http://www.notebookcheck.com/typo3temp/p...bfa079.jpg)

After that, Dolphin should use your AMD GPU Smile
Don't worry if it's not listed, it uses it when the game starts.

Well, I think it doesn't because on my desktop (AMD quad core + integrated intel graphics)
I get the same speed I'm getting in this laptop (sonic adventure 2 battle) which is like 60fps, but at some (specific) scenes it drops to 55-50 FPS for several seconds, which shouldn't be happening if my system was really using that dedicated AMD card D:...
Okay... strange. Last chance is Starscream's statement.

Edit: Yeah, Starscream is right. You mentioned FPS drops in some areas/scenes, right? Maybe a consequence of your game settings.

You can't determine that yourself. Post all the Dolphin settings you're using.
with the internal resolution set to minimum, and no antialiasing or other enhancements it is unlikely that the GPU will be the thing bringing it from 60 to 50 FPS unless you have a really fast processor, which you don't. It may still be using the AMD GPU.
