Just checking that you aren't expecting to find BF3 on steam. It's EA, so on origin.

This ^^

Thanks for the insight ExtremeDude2, I found it very helpful.
You sure helped a lot of people with that comment.

Your welcome

YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I forgot BF3 was EA, I just hate Origin so much I sometimes forget to consider its existence Big Grin
But anyways, I will indeed spend some money on steam, but BF3 comes first ^^
What's wrong with origin? After reading all of the horror stories on the internet I was expecting it to be a pretty shitty application. But I actually like it a lot more than steam. Everything is so much faster and cleaner (although steam has a lot more features). I am still stunned at how well it integrates with EA games, no wonder they made BF3 and ME3 origin exclusive. Some of the stuff that me3 multiplayer does with origin either would not have been possible or would have been a lot more difficult with steam.
The main problems are that it is:

a) Slower than steam, which on my PC it isn't.

b) Spyware, which if you read the licence agreement, it is, but it's the same with any licence agreement if you read it fully. It says the software can scan your computer to search for cheat software, and to find out what kind of thing origin users are doing so they can make it better in the future.
a) But that's complete BS. It's not only faster than steam, it's like 10x as fast! Booting it up is near instant and getting into a game is near instant for me whereas steam takes forever to do either of those two things. Not to mention steam uses around 6x the memory and processor resources if you open task manager. I wonder how that myth got started.
b) Don't really care. So many companies do this now that it's pretty much unavoidable.
I know, which is why I disproved what I said as I said it.
I dunno, it just seem too, clean and simple Big Grin lols I know I know, it's weird but that's it, I just love how Steam looks and feels, it seems a more matured piece of software. Big Grin
I dislike both of them completely, as I'd rather launch games from my desktop. The only benefit is that I can have a game on two computers, but I'd be able to do that with a disk copy of more or less any other game, as it wouldn't have a validation code.
But... you can launch steam games from the desktop.
