Hi!
Could anyone verify that the wiimote plus works at mac with Lion OS and dolphin? I am asking because i want to buy a wiimote that works under Lion OS at mac. Do i need sensor bar or bluetooth will do the job...?
It is a macbook pro with 4gb ram, bluetooth internal etc...
Any help appreciated.
The Wiimote plus will work with any computer, although there are some minor issues with the tr variant. You will need the sensor bar if you want to use the cursor of the Wiimote. The sensor is independent of Bluetooth: you need both to get it working properly, as the sensor bar is six LEDs in a stick, not a receiver, so won't replace the Bluetooth. Don't worry that there is no way to connect a sensor bar to the computer (unless you USB mod one) as the wire only transmits power not data.
Thanks for replying AnyOldName3. So i need to get a specific sensor or anyone would do the job?
Use any wireless one, or if you have a wii nearby to plug it into any wired one. If you're feeling adventurous you could buy a wired one and modify it to run off a usb lead, but this will require soldering, and probably changing of resistors.
I don't want to start a new thread so I'll just ask here since it's on the same topic.
I've got my wiimote connected to bluetooth in Lion, and It even worked to play games last night after a clean install of Dolphin. But now whenever I connect it, Dolphin says "1 connected" but the 4 LEDs continue flashing.
Same thing here keeps flashing the wiimote...could anyone help us?
The wiimote isn't working on Mac afaik.
Strange I just finally got it to work and was successfully playing super mario galaxy for an hour or so. It's very inconsistent.
anoxy really you did it? Could you please tell us how...
