Hey how you doing. Great work on the retexture. I have one small issue and I have not seen this posted...but the grass has a weird blueish tint in the distance along with some weird map...not sure what went wrong here tbh...

edit:

you can see the weird mapping better here...I can't precisely see what it is since it disappears once I get closer...[Image: zXjWJ.jpg]
It seems that when Dolphin has trouble loading a texture, it will load as light blue; this happened to me with a specific texture that I modified myself. However, it is usually followed by a crash, does Dolphin crash for you when you see the blue-tinted grass? Since I could not reproduce your specific issue, there could be one of many reasons that this occurs:
-Dolphin Revision
-Settings
-Graphics Card
Could you please tell us which Dolphin revision you are using?

Also, for curiosity's sake, can you see if my custom texture causes Dolphin to crash for you? I've uploaded the file and save (don't overwrite your own save, obviously, back it up first) so that you can be in the right place to see the texture. Load the first file, remove Fiora's Snow Sandals, and let me know if her legs turn blue.

My game does not crash. The textures are just blue for the grass map, however, it seems that there's some kind of black rows with {pink?} flowers or something, which makes the grass in the game look like blue farm crops or something...lol.

GPU: Nvidia GTX 580 3gig

settings:
General: (listed items are the only ones checked)
JIT Recompiler w/ Dual Core and Idle skipping on
DSP HLE emulation, enable dtk music, enable audio throttle, dsound
D3D9, showfps and hide mouse on. Auto aspect ratio.
4x native
no anti alias
16x anisotropic
scaled EFB copy
Force texture filtering

I will try your save at another time as it is late now, sorry.
I have confirmed that these textures will work with SX4E01. You only need to rename the files accordingly (SX4P01->SX4E01). However, it is recommended that this be done with a script.

Edit: I made a simple batch file to do the job. Just run this in the same folder as the files and choose option 1 to convert to SX4E01. Option 2 will convert back to SX4P01.

Big Grin is it possible to make the grass look like this one...

Wouldn't it be much better to have textures that look identical except for the higher resolution?

Same thing for fonts: you should really locate the exact TrueType fonts used and rasterize them at higher resolution; if this is impossible, trace the fonts to convert them to vector, perfect the paths, and rerasterize.

Personally I wouldn't use an high resolution texture pack that arbitrarily changes the look of the game, and even find the number font shown on the first page to be unacceptable.
U can always try whatthefont on an image of m to find out what font was used.
I tired that (not for Xenoblade, but I am trying to redo the letters for MarioKart) and it threw up an error. Are there similar tools I could use.
Can we expect an update soon? I'd love to have HD faces like in the first post!

And by the way, what softwares are needed to make HD textures? Do you make them from scratch or take the originals and run them through some program?
So I guess there is no work around if you have versions other than SX4P01? Sad
