OK, I've tested it and yes rikki's frame is changed on the 3rd slot.

I'm using Dolphin r6856, as for me it is the best working one.
It doesn't have the advance option "load custom textures", but only "load hi-res textures", while checking that does not work. Though it does with later revisions which have the right option.
So, is there any way to make this work with mine nontheless?

So I can finally test out the custom textures, and, I have to say, it looks much better than I thought it would. The fonts (with one exception, I will explain later) are easy to get used to and look good with the game. When looking at the screenshots alone, I missed the fancy battle font, but I don't really notice it while playing the game. Therefore, while it would be a nice touch to have a fancier font, I wouldn't put it at a very high priority.
My main issue with the new textures is the main font used for dialogue and general text. For whatever reason, it seems as if certain letters are being cut off or squished. I assume that this is somehow caused by the way that letters are not sized correctly in the new texture file, but it may also be due to rendering/emulation errors. I've linked a couple screenshots. Notice in particular the "h", "r", "i", and "t". Upon playing further, it looks like it may even be a transparency issue.
I tried to find the file(s) where that font is located to attempt a fix, but for whatever reason I could not find them. Could you tell me which files contain this font?
Edit: I played again without the custom textures, and the issue still exists. I think it is a problem with DX9. I played through the whole game with DX11, so I never noticed, unfortunately, DX11 has problems loading custom textures.
Small issues:
- Perseverance is spelled wrong in 5341c6fe_2
