If you have SX4E01, just use the batch file that I uploaded a few posts up. I haven't tested SX4J01, but if you have that version, just edit the batch file and see if it works.
I have no scripting experience. The file was saved as txt. How do I convert it to .bat so it can be ran?
Edit: Nvm I got it to work. Thanks
Edit 2: I got the bat file to work but apparently I still can't get the texture to load. Should I rename the folder to E01 too?
Yes, you also need to change the folder name.
It seems some of the textures aren't working for me. Some of the battle avatars do and so does the new game screen. But the menu avatars are still in the old texture, and some character's avatar also doesn't work

Set texture cache to fast

Worked atleast for me

It is already set to fast

. Ah well. Hopefully it'll get fixed with the next update or something? I don't know how else to fix it
Hi all,
Unfortunately I got a bit sidetracked and not really giving a lot of attention to this project, but I just hope it shows what can be done. It takes a lot of work to do the rest, stuff like the faces and terrain textures as there is no real source to use and it needs to get painted from scratch. My biggest problem was with the UI and most of that I fixed except for a few problematic frames (yes I mean you skill tree portraits).
I know a lot of people would prefer other fonts for damage counters and didn't like me deviating from the originals, but like I stated in previous posts, I personally didnt like the fonts and they didnt fit the overall style and design of the game for me. Anyone is more than welcome to redo it in any font they wish. The more we have the more people will enjoy it. I just dont have the time to invest in it right now
Like I stated initially, this was more to just show what is possible and to see how many people would be interested. Clearly we have enough interest and it is fantastic reading all the feedback from the posts. If anyone wants any tutorials or help on how to do a specific texture or fonts for example, i will gladly assist. With only basic photoshop knowledge and being able to think for yourself you can go a long way, until you maybe hit a wall like i did with manually painting textures.
On a sidenote, regarding the US version, the script should be fine. But I havent played it to see how much it will differ, chances are you will get a missing texture or two, nothing I can do except play the game on that version and compile a different build based on the dump.
Lastly if anyone needs any tutorials or specific builds with for example just UI elements or without fonts or so, give a shout and I will help out

Did you set EFB copies to RAM? enabled cache?
Thanks for this great work! On my side everything, except the "Xenoblade HD Retexture PS3 Buttons" seem to work, the grass, die avatars etc., looks really good now!
I also use the PAL version with 30 FPS Patch, so I have to ask why not all (the D-Pad and Start buttons seem to work!) buttons get replaced? I tried the troubleshooting points, but they didn't help at all. Could it be, that those codes (eg. SX4P01_
55089ad3_9) behind the "SX4P01" filename of the PNGs should be somehow different?
Would be cool if I could get the last buttons as well, because I use a PS2 similar controller. I made a screenshot, because some German characters are missing so far (the Ää, Öö and Üü), you can see them because of the lower quality. A lossless picture:
http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/5562/sx4p011.png The missing buttons can be seen as well.
Anyway thanks for this great piece of work! =)
The PS3 buttons I believe are based on the classic controller layout, so you will have to map your PS3 controller to a classic controller for them to show.
As for the special characters, it shouldn't be too hard to fix these, since most are just adding umlauts (I can probably fudge the ss). Just check "dump textures" in the graphics options and get to the file select screen. Then go to the user/dump/textures/SX4P01 folder and find and attach the file with the fonts (it will be mostly white). If you can't find it, zip the whole SX4P01 folder, and attach it, and I'll find the correct file.
