Framerate decreasing with increasing cc is a known issue. I also have issue 4 but it goes away with some settings. Not sure which, been tampering too much

If you could find out the settings, that would be great since power sliding is important in this game Big Grin

I bought an nVidia 260GTX to replace my slow 8800GTS 320MB, but the frame rate in Dolphin didnt change (as far as I can tell). Oh well at least other games run much better (GTA IV and FarCry2 for example).

I even overclocked my CPU from 2.9 to 3.2, but that didnt help much. I still get major slowdowns when in split screen mode.

Obviously Dolphin is highly CPU intensive, so maybe a Core i7 CPU is needed?
Or am I missing something? Perhaps a setting that changes everything :p

Why does Mario Kart's gameplay slow down when the frame rate drops below 60fps?

Is this the way the game is specifically coded? (the gameplay is timed based on the frame rate? Or are all GC games like this?

I tried turning off Audio Throttling and enabling the Frame limiter, but that didn't work too well. The Frame Rate was all over the place, and the gameplay changed speeds way too often.

ps. I reinstalled XP, and suddenly I cannot get nJoy v0.3 to show up in the plugins. I need v0.3 because I use a non-analog gamepad. v0.4 is missing the directional range/diagonal modifiers.

if you cant find your plugins you need v++ new directx, or new net framework... you need directx updated anyway and net framework i know you need updated... and check your rev of dolphin, newer revs generaly run faster but not all the time, and your cpu is what matters not your gpu for the most part.

^ ok thanks for the info, I'll try what you suggested.

I'll wait for the new Intel i7 CPU to drop in price rather than upgrade to a faster Core2Duo or Quad.

ps. Cant we make it so the gameplay gets timed based on VSync, rather than DPS Audio throttling? Or is that how the gamecube hardware is designed?
I believe dolphin was coded to only use dual cores. So having an i7 wouldn't help as much as buying a super powerful core duo
"Power sliding and other controls (such as the accelerator and steering) is very inconsistent"

Same problem with R3874 and xbox pad, impossible to slide correctly when you turn right/left during slippage.
I tried all possible settings, i use Njoy v0.3/0.4 and dolphin xboxpad
without success...
I tried to change LT/RT to LB/RB but not work Confused

I will test with xpadder...

edit: micro freezes during slide appears to be the problem.
MKDD is practically perfect for me. all controls work. the speed is the only problem i have.

i'll try to disable EFB and see what happens.
with efb off and frameskip 1 it should run perfect on your machine.

mine is worse and the game runs great there.
ok thanks!
Hi, Anyone know if the problem of music that stop randomly have been solved or not?
