Most gamecube games don't support widescreen, and for the
very few that do dolphin can't detect them automatically. So what you experience is normal in a sense. You can either select aspect ratio to be stretched to fit the screen(the image will be stretched too), or the widescreen hack (the image won't be stretched but you will have glitches in many cases since it is a hack).

I'm using the latest Dolphin from the site, what's LLE? I once tried a different sound option on Wind Waker but it just leaved a message and couldn't load the game.

That is probably it, but you need to dump your DSP files from your Wii/GC
Hello guys, yesterday i played this game on dolphin 3.0 306( i think it's the best mariokart) and the game runs perfect.
I use a PAL version in 50 htz and DSP LLE.
My config :
intel i5 760 2.8ghz
nvidia gtx 460 1gb
4 gb ddr 3
But i noticed small slowdows during race presentation and a part of dk's moutain race.
Is it normal ? or can i fix this ? what is the best rev for this game ? settings ? THANKS
I've read all around that this game works with only performance and audio issues, however for me (with latest version) it won't go pass the logo screens, it gets stuck in a "DList" loop, they just constantly load, 60FPS/100% Speed. I don't even get the "Press Start" screen :/

Just press the "A" or "Start" button and you will get to the title screen and further.
The music disappears in the 2nd lap on the first race. Very annoying
Using LLE audio solves that, but you need to dump the needed files from your GC or Wii. There are threads explaining how to do that, if you want to search for them.
