I was going to write something pretty interesting, but then again I think nobody would have cared anyway so I just leave it at that.

The PS3 is pretty much an PC these days anyway, in a couple of months I will upgrade my HDD from 120GB to 500GB so I can safely install future games and some other stuff and I will also apply new Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste to both the Cell processor and the RSX GPU to maintain it's coolness.
So in a sense why would I need an PS3 emulator? Shit I have even seen people go water cooling with these things.
It's like a second gaming rig PC without the bullshit of Steam, Origin applications and activating games.

I treat my PS3 like a PC, and it's real easy maintaining it in perfect shape.
Will I ever gonna need a PS3 emulator, hell no.

I'm pretty much done in the emulation business anyway, don't know what the hell is wrong with me, but that's how I feel.
The real deal is what I want.

He really did write that on the pj64 forums tho ^^
No no no wait a minute wait a minute. What PJ64 forums are you talking about, you must have me confused with someone else or are you talking about Squall? Man you are talking about Squall aren't you.
Yeah I was going to write something really spectacular but I feel like everybody would just flame me for it and I'm not in the mood for that.

Anyway you guys got my opinion about this subject as much as it is already.
But maybe some other time, that's a promise.

Yes, yes I am Big Grin
You know Gabriel I must disagree with you about that. I don't judge emulators by how useful they are or can be to me. While I have my own wii and my current hardare can do only 1x ir on most games, I still use Dolphin and I love to try it with all the games I have and test it with the newest revisions, and while Im at it enjoy it and play.

Id love to see ps3 emulation happening because the day I see it running a commercial game at my home PC Im gonna say "My God that's fucking possible". Emulation isnt just about playing games from consoles in Pc, its about the best minds in software engineering around the world perfecting piece of art that shows the cutting edge of what software can do. Its like an awesome experiment, rather than an entertainment software imho.

I remember when my father showed me the first working version of pj64. I was like 7 years old and it was gross, the colors were totally messed up, almost no sound, and after 2 minutes ttyhe PC went Blue screen. Yet I was amazed. How could that program do the same "job" the metalic circuits inside my n64 did. At least thats how my old man explained to me at the time..

And it makes me sad to see the emulation scene slowly fading.. When will I be able to feel that thrill again? Is ttyhis whole thing going to an end/? Dawn, the emulation scene has less than 20 years.. Plus, I loved to know that Pcs are just more powerful than home consoles, enough to allow such a thing as emulation of a modern day console.

While this has been making me more and more dpressed and nostalgic in the last few weeks, it makes me happy to know that tyhere is still a grasp of life cpming from emulation. This is something that was parrt of my entire childhood. I just turned 18, hell I frequented this Forum my entire teenagehood. I really hope it doesnt go away that soon :/

Not that it is relevant, but it type better on iOS than a keyboard, so I see this as no excuse.

Anyway, my first experience of emulation was being shown MAME running some arcade games as a young child, maybe five. I had no epiphany about the wonders of how it worked, I just liked the fact that I could play these games I had never played before. They were certainly at least as good as any real PC games I had.
