The "lines" bug in ZSS is fixed in newer versions of dolphin, it must have been fixed somewhere in the middle of december 2011. If you get anything later than that it should work.

If you want my honest opinion, that whole revision crunching is crap. Use the latest version available, and if what you want to do with it doesn't work but did work before, file a bug report and get it fixed in the latest version. That "revision foo is great for bar" stuff is extremely common in this community, which is... not good in my opinion. It gets up to a point where there's almost religious belief in "revision $n is the best one out there". It's likely not. The current version is the best one, and if it doesn't work, then it's a bug and should be fixed. You can in some special case maybe work around that temporarily by using an older version of the program, but that shouldn't be a generally suggested and encouraged solution for any kind of problem.
Well, at least that's how I'd want people to use my software. Everything else turns into a "I'm using this five-years-old version of your program which I believe to be the BEST one you ever made, but $foo, which you fixed four years ago, doesn't work with it, how do I make it work" kind of thing.
If everybody always uses the latest version of the program, then there's quick and verbose feedback to the developers if something breaks. Thus, it's easy to track down the change which introduced the failure, and it's likely not too difficult to resolve the issue then. If everybody uses his or her favourite version of the program, the reported issues are much more random, and will often even be about issues which have been fixed long ago.
Usually people suggesting to use some random rev have no clue what they're talking about.
If anything, there's r7719 which is the last texcache-rewrite build (an experimental branch which fixes a handful of gfx glitches but causes a crapload of others) and r6659 (or sth like that) which is suggested because it's "fast" (... supposedly).
I'm kinda biased in this matter, but we strongly encourage you to always use the stable release (3.0) or the latest nightly build if you don't mind stuff breaking every now and then.
i appriciate what your both saying and i will just be using mainly 3.0 build and i will report the bug s i am having.
its just there is a few games that i and my kids really love to play when people come over for a visit and for those few games i just want to get them working asap.
so please please explain how you tell what revision is what?
cheers

Totally agree with the above poster about "use the latest version". If the community just keeps going off on "use revision x as it has the best compatibility", than people end up having several different versions of Dolphin lying around in their comp just to play certain specific games.

and what is the problem with that?
I have no problem having 2 or 3 copies of dolphine as long as i get a game that wont work on latest version working on another version. as long as i can get to play then cool no?
i cant even tell what revision i have currectly when i open up and look around the emulator. theres no revision info anywhere so how does one see what revision they are running etc.
Soooo... can some one just please answer my question. this is the 3rd time of asking.....
How can you tell what reviosion of dolphin u have or how can you tell what revision is what on archive page?
thank you
Ever looked at the title bar? o_o
And apart from that, the help->about dialog has detailed information about the git revision the build is based upon.
