I forgot all about that, I'll try to have SSE3/SSSE3 builds uploaded by tonight. I'll have to roll back my source to r6075 since I updated since then.

NP. Use the new source if you want. Your due for a new build anyways
.
I finished setting up my desktop last night and literally just grabbed dolphin a few minutes ago. Man a lot has changed in 800 revisions. I have to figure out this new efb system that they have set up but I'll have that done by tonight.

Sure thing, keep an eye out tonight, I should have a new build uploaded. I will try to have all builds for SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1 uploaded as well tonight. I will also try to include optimized builds for other processors. There won't be SSSE3, SSE4 optimized builds for anything other than Intel since AMD only supports SSE4A which isn't true SSE4 and SSSE3 is part of the SSE4 instruction. Intel currently only supports SSSE3 and SSE4, neither VC++ or ICC support SSE4A AMD specific optimizations.

Hey X2D, I just wanted to thank your for always offering very good SVN's. Just finished Zeld TP with one of your builds. They gave me always very nice performance and I will recommend everyone to use your builds !!! Too Bad that ending credits didn't play for me and Dolphin right now has massive CPU hunger in TP, but over and all it was a nice experience.

Thanks.
I'm going to get some sleep and upload a new build after I wake up, so a new build will be a little later than I planned. I'm just feeling exhausted lately and right now I can barely stay awake.

NP. Look forward to trying it out tomorrow. I'm still researching some of the new commits, some impressive stuff that they have managed to pull off.

I was also holding off to see if there would be any groundbreaking commits, it seems developers are closer to figuring out the music looping issue with games such as Zelda Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 so a fix might be on it's way for that fairly soon. There is also some research being done on performance issues and developers might be able to solve various performance issues including the famous Hyrule Field slowdown issue.
I've been helping on both accounts by either debugging and logging anything useful, and benchmarking with a profiler such as Vtune. I don't know how to code so I'm trying any way I can to help.
Check issue 3081: http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=3081
According to skid it's not exactly fifo related, but an issue with the video interface. Various issues with the timing, syncing, and some fifo issues can be blamed for the poor performance with most games. It was mentioned that coretiming.cpp is a complete mess and they don't even know how it works.
Jump on irc sometime, a lot of interesting stuff is discussed and the channel is frequented by the developers.
Just get on the efnet irc server and join the #dolphin-emu channel.

I thought they already committed the hyrule field speedup patch which fixes the problem without introducing any new problems. Your saying they want to do it without hacks?

I do occasionally but your never on and I have a feeling that the developers find me annoying so I try not to bug them (thus why I have stopped going on).

Yes without hacks, we could possibly see full speed or very close too full speed on the horizon providing hardware is powerful enough to handle it. Right now the video emulation is seriously bottlenecked. The video interface is bottlenecked by timing , syncing issues, and the spin/wait functions of the emulator. If I am wrong on that, hopefully a developer can correct me. MarcosV is looking into these issues that affect performance, so just cross your fingers as I am doing.
The benefit is that it would not only fix performance issues with ZTP, but other games such as SMG, SMG2, and other games that have slowdown issues.
