I'm not sure if this is in the right sub-forum board or not.

Whenever I start up PSO Episode 1 and 2 Plus I get this error about something about HLE. The full error is: HLE system tried to call an undefined HLE function 28396

When I press OK it keeps popping up for another 5-10 times and then finally disappears. After that Dolphin freezes and shuts down. Now, I tried the search function but couldn't really find any threads about this problem, unless i overlooked them. I also tried a google search but nothing relevant really came up.

I can run Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 and 2 (1.0) normally without any problems but this doesn't run at all. I've even tried another source for the rom to no avail. Has this issue been encountered already and is there a solution to it? Thanks in advance.
Have you tried the DSP LLE plugin? Some games have problems with HLE.

No, I haven't. I'm new to the Dolphin though. How would I go about setting that?

EDIT: Nevermind, I've found it.
First of all, dump your DSP with this tool from your Wii -> http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=3823

After that, put the two files in Dolphin/Sys/GC or User/GC. Then, check in the sound config the DSP LLE Recompiler. (if you have a good CPU, you can also select DSP LLE on thread)

Edit: ok, i was a little bit too slow. ^^
So I take it even though I'm playing a Gamecube game I still need to dump my files?
Yes. If a GC game has sound problems, you should use DSP LLE too.

This plugin works with Wii and GC games.

Well since they can be dumped from a GC...(easier on the wii tho Big Grin)
Anyway the game works EVEN with HLE ("original" version and "plus" version)
Alright, I did everything you said and now when I try to use LLE recompiler it doesn't bring up that HLE message again but it does crash the entire client instantly. I've tried the interperter too and that brings the HLE message back again. I even tried it with DSP LLE on thread to no avail. Sad
Change your dump/iso...
