Occurs randomly, sometimes within 30 sec of firing up a game sometimes 30+ minutes, can be either Wii or Gamecube, tried pretty much all resolutions, graphical settings, variables.. multiple different builds etc, still the same.

I know my setup: i7 920 3.65GHz, 8GB Ram, HD 5870, 1920x1200 isn't exactly cutting edge anymore but surely i should be able to run Dolphin without it crashing my system.. i can run pretty much all new Windows games at max detail/resolution without this occurring, same for PCSX2.
Before it reboots everything is running fine, then without warning my system just reboots itself, no strange noises, freezes, purple screen etc.. someone suggested that Dolphin may be causing my system to overheat, i regularly run very long stress tests & yes my system does get hot, but not once have they resulted in a reboot..

Does anyone have any ideas what might be going on here & how i might attempt to solve it..?

Thanks for listening.
Sounds like a power supply issue. Dolphin stresses both the cpu and gpu pretty hard which maximizes power consumption even more than a stress testing application. What kind of power supply do you have?
