dont ask me, it was a request from aaaa and corotta.

but there is a reason, i noticed myself :

in lord of the rings, third age, the text boxes only get refreshed if you either turn stc on or off. the setting doesn't matter, but it must switch.

for this case, i rather use an automatic, that switches every few frames instead a button(like my third age version release has), but i dont know what is the problem that aaaa and corotta had.

i heard its something about harvest moon...
x3 oo i cant wait to try this , my nets been funny and wont load the link Dx
Two of the harvest moon games also have text problems, toggling safe texture cache displays whatever text is on the screen.
so there is also toggling needed...why use a hotkey for that ?

just let dolphin toggle it once a second and everything is fine...

if someone needs that, see my lotr thread.

I had it so my g15 toggled it automatically, but as the text scrolls it will only update once per chatbox. So you have to wait till all chat is on the screen, then toggle it.

But what I did notice is that changing the screen size also shows text. So now I just click to change from maximized to child event though they are the same size.
why dont you just put a simple
g_safetexturecache=!g_safetexturecache
into the code ?

thats a LOT more comfort.

Where exactly in the code does this line go? This would greatly help Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Smile
enable and disable safe textures during game is useful in "Jurassic the hunted", for menu first and for subtitles in the game.
