So there is this Valentine's Day Banquet today, but I not going to it so it's all good right? Wrong, I knew my parents were going to it, but they never told me they signed me up for it too. So I was just doing stuff and then about an hour before "we" leave they tell me, I never wanted to go in the first place so I tell them I don't want to, but they say I have to, so then then I just sit in my room and start some school (I'm homeschooled) I planed on doing while they were at the banquet, but then they see that I'm just setting there not getting ready, so my dad draws house plans (just for extra work) (he's not an architect just a draftsmen) and (I didn't know this either) says that he'll give me some (can't remember how much) of the money that he makes to help pay for my college, so he had $300 (US) that he was going to put in the bank with the rest of my money, but since I said I wasn't going to the banquet he said he wasn't going to give it to me and he was going to keep it, so now there is no point in me going because even if I do he'll still keep it. Soz anyways I understand why they wanted me to go (I guess?
), but I dunno why he has to not give me the $300 just because I didn't go.

did you tell your parents the logical contradiction of their plan ? maybe then they'll give you the money ( hopefully )

So you're saying that your parents wanted to give you a nice meal and 300 dollars , but you didnt take them ?

If they had set me up with some girl i didnt know and were going to force me to dance with her ( i hate dancing

Then probably they never wanted to give you the $300 or there never was any money and they just told you that to make you fell bad for not going , if that's the case you can relax a litle bit because you weren't getting the money anyway
