Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

hi everyone.

I'm going to buy a new laptop and I'd like to run dolphin on it. my two options are an i5 2430m(2.4 ghz,3mb), 4gb ram and nvidia gt540m, or an i7 2670qm(2.2ghz,6mb), 4gb and nvidia gt540m. both are asus.

I don't know what processor is better for running dolphin...the dual core or the quad core...could you help me?

The second laptop, it's the quad-core, isn't it?

However, dolphin doesn't make use any usage of the two extra cores, but the i7 is still faster so it shouldn't matter

Look at the specs in my signature. With this notebook, i'm able to play all my games @ fullspeed (but not the heavy games like Super Mario Galaxy 1+2 and Metroid Prime Trilogy.)

So get the i7

DefenderX are you able to play xenoblade with that laptop?

i don't have Xenoblade.

But im sure, this game would be playable on my notebook
