ah thank you, and to be less of a bother than i already am i'll just list out my other confusions right now:
by removing bt software do you mean uninstall my bt program?
to allow the toshiba install to fail do i have to stop it halfway through or something?
Oh yeah. youll have to downbload Xoppas dolphin mod (available in the other thread). When you get to it download dolphin v3 and Xoppas mod. Overwrite dolphin with xopps files.

Yes, unless you have the asus dongle. I have the asus dongle so I have to leave the software that came with my dongle installed. According to people who dont have the asus dongle you have to uninstall the software that came with the dongle.
It will fail itself and you just click cancel. The software will be installed anyway. Once you edit the file you just click on one of the exes in the toshiba directory, I use ecccenter, and it will look for and install your dongle.
Alright so i have one final issue to resolve (sorry i got held up last night and today), i downloaded the toshiba bt stack in that forum post and got everything installed as so and put in the id for mine, but the toshiba drivers "RFBUS" and i can't find it anywhere in the toshiba stack directory.
It should install itself when installing the driver for the dongle.

well every time i try to re install that driver it fails, which leads me to believe i did something wrong but i feel like everything i've done so far is correct. my output for the hardware id came out as: "%TosrfUsb.DeviceDesc150%=TosrfUsb_Device, USB\VID_0A5C&PID_4503" which i typed in both 149 row groups as well as uninstalling the previous bluetooth software. I tried googling toshiba bluetooth stack the first time before trying the thread and found one that I installed and i feel that might be conflicting, but i am finding no way or evidence to uninstall it in control panel or the likes.
honestly its really strange that i am getting this error with whatever "RFBUS" is lol but the driver keeps failing to install, plus i can't even find the driver itself when i look under the toshiba drivers directory. Do you think maybe it could be a misspelling of usb or that it was intended and im just not seeing something?

well actually i think that its just not connecting at all with it and thats the main issue, so maybe i put the device id incorrectly? do i put the whole line of the id or is it the exact same # of characters as before?
Oh man, I have the exactly same issue for more than 1 month. It worked just 2 or 3 times and then never connected again. What they say about the toshiba stack I think only is needed if your usb dongle is not recognised by the toshiba stack else, installing it should be enough.
Btw, my problem is the same, while connecting, the controller lights blink and when any stack say "connected" lights stop blinking, and automatically gets disconnected. My model number is the same RVL-036 and its an original nintendo controller. Maybe someone has an answer or a light in the deep tunnel. Can someone use Wii Remote Plus without problems?
PS: the 3 or 2 times it worked the lights where off (not blinking) when I paired up successfully on dolphin.
