Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Hi,

I'm currently playing Baton Katos on my Wii (via the GC disc).

I've recently discovered Dolphin and wish to transfer my Baton Katos savegame file from my GC memory card -> Wii -> PC so I can resume my gameplay.

Is this possible?

Yes it's modded via sdcard.

Actually I couldn't find anything except this:

It didn't work for me, but maybe it will work for you (No offense Daco, it just didn't work).
It's created by DacoTaco, the admin of this forum specifically for GC card to Dolphin transitions.

It didn't work for me either, but I think I have found a way to make it work: I don't put the official Memory Card into the Wii until after I have started Ctr-Gcs-DacoTaco-Edition and it's ready for a command. Then I insert the Memory Card and give it a command (press A for example). It fails, and I go to the Wii GameCube data management (where it displays the Slots) and then take the card out and put it in again. Then I go back to Ctr-Gcs-DacoTaco-Edition and it works. It doesn't seem to work if the Memory Card is already inserted before I load the utility, even if it has already been 'fixed' in the Wii data management menu.

(I only tried this after I saw the GameCube reject a perfectly good card till it was reinserted and that made me want to experiment a bit more.)

I know I'm bumping another old(ish) thread here, but I have a couple questions about DacoTaco's app.

Judging by a few words in the wiki (and my results using it on one of my 3rd party cards), I'm guessing this is really only designed to work with 1st party, Nintendo-made cards?

Also, is anyone aware if there a size limit on the cards it can work for? Will it work with the 64-MB/1019 cards?
