Dongle : Asus USB-BT211
Wiimote : Original Wii MotionPlus Inside (RVL-CNT-01-TR)
OS: Windows 7 x64
Dolphin: x64 v3.0 B408

I managed the connection between the controller and bluetooth in windows with manufacture drivers

Then, tried to launch Dolphin... Pair up my wiimote (1 connected) but no light on the remote at the end. I tried Alt-F5 in a game, didint work either

Is there anyone who succeeded with that configuration????

Please Advice...or magic trick

Here how to do...

1-Install your ASUS BT211 dongle with original driver (ASUS CD)

2-Reboot

...then... follow SUKID guide (thank to you!)

3-Download the toshiba stack ( http://www.sitecom.com/download/4791/toshiba_8.htm ) or torrent (find a DLL to fix 30 days trial)

4-Go to control panel, device manager

5-In bluetooth section, get your bluetooth dongle's hardware (right-click, select properties)

6- go to the details tab

7-select Hardware ID. It should list something like
USB\VID_0A5C&PID_2148&REV_0818
USB\VID_0A5C&PID_2148

8-The second line is what you want. Right click on it and Copy that down in notepad.

9-Now extract the zip you downloaded (toshiba stack) and run setup.

10-Wait until you get the message to PLUG IN your bluetooth device

11- Dont click on the message, Do not close the installer, just leave it where it is.

12- open windows explorer, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Toshiba\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\Drivers\tosrfusb\

13- Copy tosfrusb.inf (or the one described as "system information") into a different folder. (bcuz you can't edit it directly where it is. )

14- open the copied one in notepad

15- You'll see a list that start with "%TosrfUsb.DeviceDesc1%=TosrfUsb_Device" and another following with the same info

16- The "#%" number increases depending on how many are on the list (some 149, me was 200) You have to add device IDs next to them.

17-Add your device Id to the bottom of each list (2 lists), like so:
%TosrfUsb.DeviceDesc150%=TosrfUsb_Device, USB\VID_0A5C&PID_2148

18-At the very bottom of the file is a list for the device description. Name it whatever you want, though preferrably the actual name of the device. Example:
TosrfUsb.DeviceDesc150 = "ASUS BT211 Bluetooth Device" or whatever

19-Save changes, then copy the modified tosfrusb.inf back into the original folder.

20- Click OK into message to PLUG IN your bluetooth device

21- Restart

22- Lauch Toshiba bluetooth assistant by the windows menu (it will not appear in notification icon)

23- try to sync with 1+2 button or red button under wiimote.. it should work anyhow

24- Dolphin 3.0-408-dirty... sync perfectly

Do so and everything will be successfully installed.... hope so.... 8hours to figure out ;-)

Good luck

Alright so I did the above (thanks for that though!) and noticed that dolphin wouldn't sync with the Toshiba stacks. Had to switch back to the Microsoft stack. I can get the wiimote to be properly recognized as a bluetooth device, but I can't actually pair them.

The best I've done is get "1 connected' in the wiimote menu, but that's it.

If it helps, my BT211 is being registered as an Atheros v3 BT radio. Very odd. And that's after the above process.

Any suggestions?
The MS stack will not work you have to use the toshiba stack. The Asus dongle shows up as Atheros, thats probably the manufacturer, who knows. Try installing the asus software first, then installing the toshiba software.

Thanks for the response. That is exactly what I did initially. At that point Dolphin errored saying it would only sync with MS stacks.

So I "updated" the driver on the device. Windows decided the Atheros v3 was a good driver... who knows where that came from.

Any suggestions?

Step 23... create a connection with Toshiba program

Step 23a... Turn off and on Wiimote (to clear the sync)
Step 23b... Go back in Toshiba connection panel
Step23c.... Right Click on Nintendo and click connect...click OK on message
Step23d!!!! Click A+B on Wiimote... should connect (Green symbol on nintendo icon)

Step24... Start Dolphin.. 421 is working
Step25... Click on Wiimote setting
Step26... Should be set on REAL MOTE... hit Refresh... should work!

The problem was step 23d A+B instead of 1+2 (that sould be use ton create first connection)... then sync with A+B

Hi,

I'm a Dolphin newbie and first of all I really appreciated your solution with the Toshiba stack. I'm using 3.0-427. The Bluetooth connection is established, Dolphin can connect and refresh my 2 Wiimotes. Starting Wiisports I can use the controls to choose a game and players, but as soon as the game starts (eg. the Tennis field appears) the tracking hand disappears and it seems that the Wiimote lost the connection completely. After stopping the game by esc. the refresh of the Wiimotes is working (vibrating). Starting again the game it works again until the tennis court appears.

Not sure if it belongs in this thread, but any hints are welcome.

tnx

Thanks.. but the Toshiba stack throws an error in Dolphin, stating it requires MS stacks (are you guys even using Dolphin??). I get as far as seeing it registered as a device in Bluetooth, as well as "1 connected" in Dolphin (Real Wiimote as #1). Still just flashes 4 blue lights at me.

Either way.. I redid the entire process using the latest Toshiba stack. Managed to get the device to pair with Toshiba's connections. However, like I said earlier, Dolphin doesn't support the Toshiba stacks, so now I can't even get one wiimote to sync with Dolphin.

Thanks for your ideas!

EDIT: Nevermind.. got it. Ok so I followed the above instructions with a few exceptions. I downloaded the lastest Toshiba stacks from here: http://www.station-drivers.com/page/Toshiba.htm

I then got the latest version of Dolphin. I did NOT use their connection tool. I simply connected using the Toshiba stack.
I can't install toshiba stack because it keeps asking "Please plug in the Bluetooth device and click OK button." Even though I have my Asus usb bt plugged in and drivers installed...
I modified the .inf file to include the Hardware ID of my Asus Bluetooth device. Somehow I missed that step in this guide. Followed that and now have it working. Thanks!

I am having this same issue. I have the toshiba stack and its connected to my wiimote but I can't pair up because of "microsoft stack only" message and refresh does nothing. I'm almost able to play Skyward Sword. So close!
