Yes, it is.

You're right, my PC has nothing to do with anything. We're talking about your PC and how you said you just upgraded to something good when you didn't.

You don't have to give me dates and prices, I'm looking at the specs, they're crap.

I'm not trying to be harsh here, but you have no clue about what you're saying. I understand you just got the PC and you're happy and it's new to you, but it's still not good enough. That's why everything is still running slow and that's why you're here posting about it, because it's crap.

Because it can't fully run Gamecube roms, doesn't mean it's crap.

Ive been able to do a lot with it, including develop a few little games from programs that wouldn't run before, so I'm satisfied.

You have your opinion, and I have mine. That's all it boils down to.

The PC itself is made from things from back in 2009, so it's not a big deal. I'm able to play the gamecube games to point of enjoying them, and that's what counts.

Because you have a better PC than me doesn't mean you can just call mine crap. The PC itself is expensive, I was lucky that I got it in exchange for a PS2 and PSP, so I'm not pissed at all.

PC prejudice, it's a terrible thing... Undecided

But like you said, as long as you're happy with what you have. It'd be a pretty sweet deal if you're capable of emulating your old PS2 and PSP games too.

Agreed. There is no PSP emulator that can run commerical games yet, but the pcxs2 emulator runs just a bit better than dlophin. Besides, my only reasoning for getting a PS2 was for Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid, now that the HD collection and 4/Code Veronica X is for 360, I had no use for it.

You, my friend, are sadly mistaken Big Grin

The only one I saw could run homebrew games. Is there really one that can run commerical games? I still have a few ISO's from when I played on my PSP.
Did you click the link? Yes, JPCSP can run both commercial and homebrew PSP games. It decrypts them too. I've tested it with only one of my ripped games (Disgaea 2) and it runs fullspeed. I've got a weaker laptop, Intel Dual Core T3400 @ 2.16GHz with an Intel GMA X3100 integrated GPU. Chugs on the 3D parts (20 FPS) but 2D parts run perfectly. Dunno how well it'll play on your system, but you should give it a try.
It runs pretty smooth.

See, I gained a lot more than what I loss, because I'm capable of playing what I gave away for this sytem lmao.
Wow your specs is almost the same as mines, but I have a slightly better gpu than you. Try using frame skipping on some games to see if that gives you a little boost. But for old specs like that, you need to check to see if any services are running that you don't use. Sometimes tuning up and upgrading your PC can increase your FPS and PC performance. I know it worked for me! Big Grin

Wow, you're right. You do have a slightly better machine, it's uncanny.

But how many FPS do you get? This PC is freshly installed. I'm thinking that Windows 7 might have an effect if I install, not sure.

I was at like 1 -3 FPS on most games when I first tried out Dolphin. But after tuning up my PC, my FPS now is like 20-25 in game play, and 30-60 during cut scenes for some games. So yeah, tuning up your PC. And I don't know if Windows 7 will increase FPS, but windows 7 does give better operating performance by far. Still edgy to try windows 8 beta though.Dodgy Also I will give you 3 links, to help you out when it comes to Dolphin. Read them in that order. These links should solve most of your questions, if you have additional questions, just away.Big Grin

Why don't you give us all a step-by-step guide on how you "tuned up your PC" that allowed you to go from 3 fps to 25. I'm sure everyone here can't wait to hear this one.
I have to actually agree with Starscream here. I've already looked at those docs long ago and they say nothing about how to increase the FPS.

How can you "tune" up your machine without "tuning" up the hardware? That's the only possible way that you could tune anything. 1-3 FPS isn't going to magically boost up to 20-25, and furthermore, the gameplay would have to be fast for the cutscenes to be fast. I have 256 MB/RAM on my graphics card, Yours may have a little more sicne it's just a step up, but I can't imagine that it would make any significant difference.

Please tell me how you tuned up your PC to optimize performance. I'll gladly risk graphical problems for speed any day.
