i am running the game and usually its all great. a stable 30 fps. But whenever there are multiple AI on screen or particularly in battles it crawls to 20-25 fps.
i have tried OC my cpu to 3.8ghz but that didnt change anything at all so i doubt OCing higher will help. i have everything set up as many other threads have discussed in the settings. just wondering what the problem could be before i dive back in!
cheers for any help.

Try to decrease these settings
i did.

didnt do anything.
which got me thinking it was a CPU bottleneck.
Use HLE audio and set EFB to texture.
Try to put FrameLimit off/disable Audio Throttle
with only framelimit off no change.

got it at a stable 30 by using hle audio and efb at texture. at first it ran at 60fps but then i limited it to 30 and alls good,
thank you so much for all the help!
