hello guys,

Ive got a huge problem with "twilight princess" namely that this game doesnt work well and it has slowdowns in big areas altought I have a "strong" pc:

i5@2,8GHZ OC to 4GHZ
gtx580
ram 12gb

Now to the details:

dolphin rev 3.0-371 *newest*:

< You see that all 4 cores are in work at 100% and I tought that dolphin just using 2 cores?
Altough 4 cores are working the game just have 27-30 fps
The settings are just the normal settings for zelda and the graphic settings arent high!

dolphin rev 3.0:

Nearly the same phenomenon. All cores are working but not 100%
Same settings like above(zelda settings)
Altough 4 cores are working the game just have 27-30 fps!

And now the wonder of all with dolphin r7718

Nearly the same setting like above and the game is just running well 30fps
in big areas 29fp.
But there just working 2 cores on 100% and it works. I dont understand anything.
And the graphic is also slight better!

Try enabling 'lock thread to cores' in the newer versions, this should leave only 2 cores running at 100%
I did but it doesnt help to play this game at 30fps just at 27fps - 30fpsHuh
30 fps is what you're supposed to get
If the drop to 27 only occurs in large areas then that maybe normal, btw are you using the GC or WII version and give a screenshot of your settings, although 27fps is something most people can live with

Change EFB Copies to texture and that should do it

That do the thing but then I cant see the minimap you know thats the literal problem. If you use "texture" than everthing is good beside that you havent a minimap. If you make"ram" the minimap is there but everything else is slow.

Now what we can do? Its like a paradox! Sad

Switch when necessary eventually. I got almost same specs as you and the game works fine. You could put FrameLimit off and disable Audio Throttle too

Very strange when you have almost the same settings like me. However Im playing with the older version and Im pleased with that. Thanks for your golden time Wink
