No, I'm just being realistic.

Actually.... this is the point where I jump in.

CryEngine 3 is already running on the Wii U. I specifically mention this because it's my development platform of choice.

And trust me, with a 4870 (I'm guessing), you could push some seriously killer stuff. Most of what you see in that demo is smoke and mirrors. The meshes are still low res.

And did anyone else notice that the second Zelda U image is mirrored?
Yeah, some things are of lower quality, but you have to keep in mind that they're rendering the whole thing in 1080p, at a stable FPS, which is quite an achievement.
I never said it couldn't look any better, it can and probably will (knowing Nintendo), but nothing groundbreaking as NV thinks it will be.

I think the Wii-U will have a less powerfull GPU than the 4870. Something like the 4770 I think (or perhaps even lower).
But we'll hear everything about the Wii-U in 2 weeks.

Btw the Gamecube portion is wrong.
They went to this from the tech demo, to everyone's surprise.

What must we understand here?

We're talking about beginning gen games (where there is a huge learning curve) vs late gen games. It's worth noting that Cell Shading is a ***** to render.

And even with a 4770, think of how much powerful that is than what's in the 360, yet the tech demo looks like a 360 game. There is quite a bit more brawn that is yet to be flexed.

They used upscaled Zelda 64 models for the GC tech demo, and they are now using upscaled GC models for the Wii U demo. There isn't much of a difference other than the absolutely amazing animation.
There is the gfx effects like advanced lightening, shading, reflections, etc...
Nothing never seen', tough. It can sure get better than that tech demo, but it'll take time, I wouldn't expect a Zelda game soon.
Intriguing but i was never an NFS fan, i believe the best racing game is Gran Turismo, has a bit more sense of realism to it.

Not really. It was even done on the Playstation back in 1999.

It's not upscaled. It's a new model, which isn't finished yet ofcourse.

Those effects are already implemented in the tech demo.
