Some people are saying that the game is horrible while others are saying that it's great. Unfortunately, those not interested in console gaming won't know for quite some time.
People are saying it's great? Who? Surely you're not talking about a couple of game review sites like IGN that rate nearly everything high. This game has already caused millions of people to completely abandon any remaining hope for the resident evil franchise.

It's the same game! It will have the same mechanics, cutscenes, story, art direction, level design, etc.

If you want to decide for yourself if the game truly is crap or not and you're
not a console gamer, you'll have to wait for the PC version. That doesn't mean that the PC version is going to be different, that means you need the game to be available on your platform to be able to play it and decide for yourself.
The review admits the game has its issues but according to them we're yet to see anything that tops RE4, this is just their opinion ofcourse.

He's obviously referring to a specific review by a specific organization unless he completely forgot how English works (which I find unlikely).
