I think Dark Helmet is nicer and have a greater sense of humor.

Haha I had forgotten this movie. Great parody (for the younger here : "Spaceballs" "La folle histoire de l'Espace" in french )

He he I love Spaceballs. It's a great parody of some of the greatest space films (Star Wars, Star Trek etc.)
Has great actors like Bill Pullman, John Candy, Rick Moranis, Michael Winslow (Police Academy) etc.

It's a classic!
